The strange life and death of acclaimed pioneering record producer Joe Meek has been brought to my attention recently, and i cannot help but see a parallel in that with one of my all-time favorite authors and, indeed, idols in the late great Hunter S. Thompson. Am i crazy? You be the judge, but the similarities in both their tragic lives/deaths and their mad genius are too great for this blogger to ignore...
